Bureau Telecommunications and Post (hereinafter: BT&P) is the semi-autonomous regulatory authority for the Curaçao communications industries, with responsibilities across television, radio, telecommunications and wireless communications services.
This website contains an overview of the functions and responsibilities of BT&P and the key contact information. Also included are references to the applicable legislation and regulations and information about public telecommunications and postal service, concessions and permits.

BT&P focuses its efforts on providing its customers with the best service possible. To narrow down the assistance required we have categorized our types of customers as follows:
Concession Holders
Telecommunications Do you need information about large scale telecommunications services in the BES islands and Curaçao? A concession issued by the Governor is required to built and operate a public telecommunication network. There are three types of concessions for telecommunications:
- public fixed local telephone
- public mobile telephone
- public long distance
Postal There is one exclusive concession for postal services. Couriers must be registered in order to provide services.

Permit Holders
Telecommunications A permit of the Minister of Transport and Communications is required to use install, possess or use radio-electric transmission and reception installations. No permit is required for radio-electric reception installations exclusively intented for the reception of programmes or radio-electric installations intented for usage as peripheral equipment or low frequency radio-electric installations.

Do you have a complaint about the service provided by telecommunications companies? Part of the responsibilities of BT&P is looking after the best interests of consumers. BT&P addresses consumer interests and as such mediates between parties to solve technical or other problems related to telecommunication and post in Curaçao.
