The strategy of BT&P is founded in the vision and mission of the organization. The ever advancing international developments inevitably have a great impact on the sectors Telecommunications, Post, Energy, Airport tariffs. Orienting to and adapting with optimum effect to ever increasing internationalization is an absolute pre-condition to be able to keep up with the development of the area of tension between supply and demand in the markets and the attendant players in the same.

Internationalization as a driving force

The perception and the patterns of anticipation of the consumers and of the providers are ever more internationally oriented and the providers are making ever more use of the international market as the foundation to determine the strategy for how to structure their operational activities. Price developments on a local level are also influenced by price developments on an international level; an example of this is the impact of international raw materials on local fuel prices.

The growing trend of the internationalization represents an important driving force for BT&P in its functioning as an effective supervisor. Looking after the interests of the provider as well as of the consumer is therewith considered of paramount importance. This manifests itself in the good quality in accordance with international technical standards, efforts to realize affordable prices for products and services, sufficient market supply, the sustained encouragement of service providers to continue to invest and keep abreast of the latest technologies. With this objective in mind BT&P invokes policy, law and regulating respective to the provision of products and services and monitors the observance thereof on behalf of the government.
