Operational key tasks
In practice, the supervisory tasks and powers of BT&P that have been determined, may be reduced to a number of daily recurring operational work activities of an administrative and legal nature. These are listed here below.
- To grant, reject, amend or revoke an authorization intended for building, having present, using or commercializing radio transmitter/receiver systems, broadcasting systems and cable networks not being broadcasting systems
- To control, allocate and withdraw radio frequencies and numbers
- To take custody of a radio system
- The issue and registration of call signs
- The issue of:
- Certificates permitting peripheral equipment, radio transmitter/receiver systems, internal grids, networks and devices regarding electro-magnetic compatibility
- Conformity statements for recognized test institutions
- Approval certificates for approved telecommunication infrastructures, radio transmitter/receiver systems, internal grids, broadcasting systems and cable networks not being broadcasting systems
- Statements of recognition for vocational training courses in the field of peripheral equipment and radio transmitter/receiver systems
- Authorization certificate for radio-amateur
- Certificates of a general or limited nature for maritime radio communication and certificates VHF marine radio
- To issue:
- Written warnings to permit holders
- Directions to prevent or remove complaints about interference
- To perform:
- Inspections and tests of telecommunication infrastructures, radio transmitter/receiver systems, internal grids, broadcasting systems and cable networks not being broadcasting systems based on pre-determined requirements
- All work activities in connection with the collection, management and administrative accounting of fees received from the telecommunication sector (for example in case of a coercive collection by writ of execution)
- To impose:
- A full or partial broadcasting ban and administrative fine upon a permit holder
